NY Radio Stations
I'm working in north Jersey again, and I get to listen to two of the best radio stations on the planet. I have to say that I have traveled some, and listened to lots of radio in lots of US states, but these two are the best. For the morning I reccomend 95.5 WPLJ's Scott and Todd in the Morning. Two very funny and not crude dudes. I enjoy some intelligent, suggestive off-color humor. These guys have alot more finesse than you would expect from a station playing the best of the 80's and 90's.
When I need to throw it down, kick it up, or get pumped, I slide the radio dial to 100.3 - Z100. Oh yes. Elvis Duran in the mornings is a close second to PLJ, but the best is the evening and weekend shows. My old crew doesn't appreciate it, but I like the Saturday Night Pajama party with those two girls. And the afternoon show too.
In a bind I slide over to 103.5, the "New KTU" which has been new for the last 10 years. Nothing but the guido loving hip-hop and R&B that you need if you have a really big car stereo.

So, how's married life?
Vince and I have been married for nine months now and married life is good. There are still things we're sorting out, of course-- like who gets to do laundry, pay the bills, refill the duck soap dispenser in the bathroom, and/or reach all that stuff on the high shelves.
But you'd be amazed at all the interesting things we've learned about ourselves and each other in the past several months-- just related to household stuff.
For instance:
- It turns out Vince is a night person and I'm a late afternoon person.
But we both would rather be sleeping till noon.
- Vince hates to fold laundry and I hate to file paper. I fold his laundry and he stacks my papers in neat piles on the kitchen table (which I move to the piles on the coffee table and on my computer desk).
- Vince cooks efficiently, using the least amount of dishes, and with Red Devil hot sauce. I use every dish in the kitchen and every meal is a creative masterpiece. Yeah, Vince ends up cooking most of our combined meals (but I can make a mean smoothie).
- I'm always finding better, more efficient ways to store our tons of stuff in our little apartment. Vince piles the freshly washed Tupperware on the counter 'cause he has no idea where it belongs this week.
- My mindless escape is leafing through all manner of catalogues, magazines and cookbooks that I'll never use. Vince gets his brainless kicks by attacking the red power node (Unreal Tournament). Maybe we shouldn't have gotten rid of cable after all.
- Vince keeps a task list a mile long and courageously plows through it (Item #214: Buy more Red Devil hot sauce). I finally got my wedding dress to the cleaners last week and still haven't even looked at the wedding photo proofs (eek!).
But, yeah, definitely-- to answer all the questions-- married life is good. I like it.
